Ration Balancing and Feeding Consultation

In many areas, Nutri-Consultants has nutrition consulting associates that can visit your farm to check cows and feed conditions, water supply, manure consistency, etc. and collect feed information and forage and grain samples for comprehensive lab testing. Ration balancing work is performed by Dr. Dan Pitzen utilizing his vast experience and very advanced computer programming. Rations are formulated for the exact dry matter intake for the cow group or predicted feed intake for component fed individual cows depending on body weight, milk production, and stage of lactation. On-the-farm feeding consultation is available in Northern Ohio, New York, Southern and Western Pennsylvania, Northern Maryland, Eastern Kentucky and Tennessee, Northern Indiana, Iowa and Southwestern Wisconsin. Laboratory Feed Testing

Nutri-Consultants utilizes the services of an independent laboratory that provides fast accurate, comprehensive and inexpensive forage, grain, commodity feed, and water analyses. If you have a consulting associate in your area, he can collect a sample of your feed(s) and send them to the lab. If you are outside this area, call or write for our lab test list and charges. We will send sample bags, forms, mailers, and instruction for you to take and mail the sample(s).
